this is my first crawler and need some advice im a bit of a noob when it comes to this type of thing.i am going to buy a single fxr and for motors i am thinking crawlmaster pros or torquemaster pros but can i run these motors off a single fxr, and because of budget issues will i be able to use a old futaba fp-r122je which has 2 channel ports and battery port till i know if i will get right into crawling and lastly what would you recomend for a cheap battery and charger thanks.

Yyou can run two motors off the fxr, but for themprice, you should pick up a Spektrum dx3C & a punk 3d dig. Then you'll have dig control and a good radio for well under $200. A dx3C is about $129 online & you can score a used punk dig for about $30.
