xray T2 008 drift build

I'm going to make a Xray drifter but I'm going euro style with it. . 8)

Ever seen a Bentley Continental drifting?

euro body for a euro chassis so apropo, reason why i got the 911, post-up pics after your done mate. now where does one find the link for the bentley body :?::?::?:

Very nice! One of these days I might try out a drifter. Any specs on the Levin? That one looks pretty nice too. Used to race a guy that drove a real one. It was a scary little car. I always had him on the straigts, but in the twisties, that ugly little yellow thing took me to the cleaners! (his was a real twin cam version, not an SR5 converted).

the AE86 was on a cyclone chassis it got as far as FXR and lipo then sold it since the cost to upgrade was almost the same as my xray.
the levin is a good base for real drifting since its real wheel drive and motor options as insane as one could afford, my buddy has one for a show car and its a blast to drive.

^^^ drifting is loads of fun out here, all we need is an empty parking lot, masking tape and its good to go

Nice looking xray! They drift amazing. Sure they are great racers, but that transfers into GREAT drifters too!

thanks, will be starting to do the overdrive counter-steer mod to it which some guys have done and makes the thing drift like a 1:1, have the part numbers to convert it but really hard to source parts availability. will keep this updated.

I got hold of a used T2 '06 and tried it straight off with T-drifts, front spool! and medium rear open diff + ezrun 3300KV and LiPo's with modded rear bulkhead

...it was miles better than my TC3/NTC3/ENTC3's which I'd tried all variations of tyre compounds and suspension and diff setups

Now I put the spool in the rear and the diff up front which is the normal way to go and can't wait to drive it

The best car I ever drifted was an old Losi Street Weapon, it was amazing, even better than the TA03F pro I had, but LSW rear belts are rarer than chicken lips now

...I'm into driving rather than bling, I don't care what it looks like I get the enjoyment from the skill factor

Kev

sounds good kev, you could normally run front and rear spool or front multi diff one way and rear spool, latter is what im running now. my ride is in pieces as i was trying to convert it to overdrive countersteer. the 38T pulley up front fits but i still need a 16T center pulley to bring it all together.
the chassis is clean since i keep it that way after every run-every run for all my toys, tires cant do anything bout them though.

my evo`s

my daily driver/track toy is a IX and the tamiya shell is a VII, close as i could get,,,
