Been gone from RC crawling and RC in general for a long time.
Left Augusta, moved to Ft. Campbell, and somehow got involved again in the car audio world.
Moved to Hawaii. Briefly got into RC again there. Built a silly IFS thing. Modified an Axial 1.9 with some aluminum stuff. Vanquish, I believe. Did custom car audio from home.
Moved to the D.C. area. Hit the ground running - doing the car audio thing there. Built a car that managed to win a World Championship, multiple back-to-back State Championships, and other awards.
Moved back to Augusta last month. Retiring here. Bought a nice six car garage on 3 1/2 acres with a pond and guest house. Above the garage of the main house is a living room, dining room, kitchen, and some bedrooms so it works out. Wife and kids can stay upstairs. :lmao:
Swung by the LHS and was in shock to see how things have progressed. A lot of us here paved the way for the rigs that are on the shelves now. My son picked up a Super Rock Rey. He's ran it fairly hard and had no issues.
Read about Kinwald's death on the book of faces and didn't see much info.
First place I thought of to look for info was here.
Anyway, since we're sitting on some property we might get back into the scale thing a bit. Nothing major, just dig up the 1.9s from years ago and get them running again.
Anyway, here's the garage we bought. :ror: This is before all of the household goods were delivered so there's MUCH more crap in here now. Since the garage is where I'm unpacking all of the stuff that doesn't go in the house the place is a wreck from unboxing all of the stuff that was in the garage and storage.
The last two photos are where I'll build a dedicated wood shop. Will build/tune car audio for folks when I feel like it. Might even get the audio in the Chevelle and Camaro sorted out this year. The Chevelle won VA State Championship in 2-seat Sound Quality but I didn't have it where I felt it was 100% ready to compete at World Finals so I didn't take it. *shrug
