Updated pics!

Body is almost done... Needs door handles and emblems and some other stuff...I also ran short on the rear window weather stripping so I have to contact Stefan on that.

Chassis is also rolling.

I used some bars from a high lift kit and spacers from Fast Eddy's to get the chassis spaced correctly. The ones on the trans are leaf spring eyelet bushings

I ran into an issue with not being able to get the WB long enough so I cut the lower bottoms off the stock chassis and its now good to go.

Truck definitely needs wideners so I swapped the wheel set up off the sammy for a test fit

Mucho betterer

I have to say i didnt care for the look of the tire tucked in the wheel wells so much. I'm glad you swapped tires and rims, it looks much better with the wider track width.

Dont worry guys, its getting wideners for sure, I just need to order a set from TCS

BTW, since the sammy didnt have the wideners on it, I thought I would see how it looked without them.

I think the black ones look sweet but then I tried on some of the white ones I borrowed from eddievedder

Think I should still stick with wideners on this thing? or should I roll out with out them?

Thanks for looking
Mike

Dude... you just accidentally made both those trucks look better...

Wheel and tire swap.. (you might not need wideners on the sami)

Right on guys, thanks for the help . I think sammy looks more "stock" without wideners and the white wagon wheels which is pretty sweet

The wheel swap definitely makes them both look better.
Keep them that way with no wideners.

I have these ones here from TCS http://www.tcscrawlers.com/2.2-Wheel...g-p-16233.html I think it gives it just enough width.

I say PERFECT!!! Wideners on XJ, White Wagons on Sammy no wideners. BTW I saw your post on scale in the BST section and in the back ground there is a hint of sammy with white wagons, then got your pm and I knew before you posted this where you were going, being the detective that I am;)

Great work dude!

You got pm too

Its a full roller now I miscalculated the WB and had to shorten up the rear once I got the body mounted...didnt need my very custom extensions after all Body mounts are made from aluminum L channel, nothing special, will spray them black to hide them some and I plan to make floor boards and wheel wells to try to hide things better.

Here are some pics, I like the ride height, and the prowlers are staying...mocked up mud thrashers and they are to big.

Tire tuck is where its at

Its already torn back apart, the 3 link in the rear was pissing me off so out came some traxxas links and drilled the top axle plate for a tlt suspension stay and I am solving that issue now.

Rear drive shaft is good to go, front needs lengthing and I am adding the internal rear springs now...

Back to work, want to get it rolling again before bed.

Thanks for looking
-Mike
