What is the wheel base and width of this. They look the same as a 1:9 with small tires.
is this true?

My WB is 10.25" and the width outside tire edge to edge is 9".

The 1.5 tires just have a smaller ID then the 1.9's.

Nice work so far! Suspension has got a lot of travel doesn't it!
Is that b/c of the WK shafts? I like it.

Thanks

Yes the WK shafts are longer then the SCX10's and they give it a lot of droop. Tommy R worked out the suspension on his build. I just copied what he did on his. Yes it does have a lot of travel.

WOW! That thing looks amazing! Where did you get the Tamiya Jeep body, the front stinger and the winch? How did you cut it and add the little lip around it? Like around the fenders and the comp cut rear?

Thanks.

I got my body from RPP Hobby. TommyR here on RCC made the bumpers. The winch came from RPP too. I used sewing thread to cut the body and the rod for the fender lip is styrene I just bent by hand and glued into place.

If his Jeep would have been for sale before I built mine I would have bought it. Seeing Tommy's Jeep is what made me build mine. I just had to have one. I had asked Tommy if I could pay him to make me bumpers like his. He told me he would sell me the ones off his Jeep and make new ones for himself. I guess he never did make the new ones for his Jeep. I'm sure you could find someone here on RCC that would make you a set for the right price. Good luck with that Jeep.

Really you don't like driving them solo huh? I do admit it's more fun with people, but if you've got a good spot to crawl, I could care less if someone else is there. Nice work by the way.

I just got it yesterday. It does awesome for the small tires and all. I think I will be holding onto it for awhile.

Sorry to take your thread off topic, Fran.

Nice build Big Fran! I am wondering if you have any videos of this jeep in action? I'm going to be building one of these in the next few months. I just bought a body on ebay but don't have anything else.
Do you have any advice for me?

If you look at post #1 there is a list of all the parts and mods I did to my chassis. The body is where I had to take my time.

I don't have any videos. My Jeep has not seen any action yet. I just keep building them untill I find somewhere to run them and someone to run them with.

I now have about 12 rigs. I love building them but have not seemed to find time or a place to run them.

Very nice rig! You wouldn't be interested in letting someone take that NB body off you hands would you?
