little update..
traded some sedonas for rc4wd 1.55 original beadlocks.

bought some axles with leafs and shocks and a set of 1.55 rock stompers so that should be in by the end of the week.

hoping to get it rolling by next week.

still looking for a clod body.

since i havent had any updates in awhile, i thought id post some progress pics.

i brazed some cross braces in and got the tranny mounted. the leafs work perfect with this chassis

tires showed up about noon today, these things are very scale to the TSL's.
threw some electronics on it just for testing... hoping to buy a body within a few weeks or so.

few updates..

i plan on running the rear 4-linked and a sway bar in the front.

i started a 4-link truss and grooved the rock stompers to look more like tsl's

i plan on doing a bumper somewhat like this one, aswell as running a 3r winch.

any ideas for a rear bumper?

Your shackle angle looks off on the rears. Should be around a 45* angle, the other way.

i needed to extend the WB to 11.4'' for the clod body but didnt have enough chassis in the rear to run the leafs.. so i built some shock hoops and 4-linked it.

i finished the 4-link truss aswell.

I only wish the lugs on those tires were taller like the slingers to really make em look scale

i decided to go with a scx chassis.. my old chassis work ok, but i forgot the pre-drill the holes before i cut it in half so none of the mounting holes really lined up.

i started mounting the rock sliders and got one side done, working on the others right now. got the body all mounted up and the chassis mounted servo done.

sorry for the bad phone pics

i ordered a winch from rpp a few days ago and it just came in.. very fast shipping.
the front hilift shocks weren't slow enough for my liking and since they are airshocks, you cant add heavier weight oil to them..... so i added another set of shocks and put some 25wt oil in.

finished the other rock slider and started on the bumper (no pics yet)
bought a used 5955 hitec servo and is working great so far.

started sanding the hood and sides a little but it got late and i was tired..

i think ill move the rear red shocks to the front and swap with the blue ones so there arent 2 different colored shocks up front..
