| My Rokmen LJ build
First off, heres the link to the 1:1 Rokmen "Freak" i am trying to build. http://www.rokmen.com/builds/freak_n...namedjake.html Well im gonna post these pics in backwards order. I was about 80% finished when the family decided to go to Vegas so i rushed to finish it and went with a color i really didnt like in the end. See below Well she crawled beautifully and when i got home i found a place that sells aerosol paint in the same exact color as the 1:1 Freak. So i tore her down, sanded, made new stronger rear crusher panels w/slider rail, sanded more, bent back the front mini stinger, sanded again, and made new stronger highline fenders. She is not done yet but can run on her own. Please excuse the wierd colors as i was originally trying to find some paint to match but couldnt. Please comment positive or negative on what i should or shouldnt do. Thanks for looking. Got Highlines? Rear steel panels, bumper, and cagework Front bumper How she currently sits Yes i know these are not 1.55's but i just threw these on for the rebuild process. My 1.55 stompers on VOID's are resting Its very low slung and has a very low COG. Ill update this post more as i continue on. Its gonna be an even longer build now cause ill be starting my sons FJ build at the same time. Last edited by ser3100; 03-07-2012 at 07:34 AM. Reason: New pics update |

I absolutely love the stance of it with those Tomahawks, looks like it has only a couple inches of lift. And like everyone else has stated, that tube work is phenomenal.

Thanks. I appreciate the comments. The cage was a PITA to work on but overall im happy with the way it turned out. Ive got a dilemna about the doors. I managed to cut the rest of the door off of the cage and am debating on wether or not to put it on. Its the top half of the doors. Just like the Rokmen LJ's doors. Probably also gonna make some sort of canvas roof just like the 1:1.

Yeah Hawks work but i really like the look of 1.55's on this rig. This is why i keep pushing RC4WD to come out with 1.55 two face tires. Hello RC4WD!!!!

cage is legit, and I actually kinda like the look of the 1.9s that are currently on it Not that the WEs replicas weren't sweet.

OK well heres an update. Please excuse the crappy pics. I had to take these with my camera phone cause i smashed my real camera in my car door. Im about 90% done now and just finished my custom 3link front. Pics will come later but for now heres some with the new paint to match the original 1:1 FREAK. Hope yall like em. And heres what i was taking about regarding the doors. Should i leave to door tops on or off? Of course they will be painted just like the real one. Whatcha think? And lastly a couple more shots of how she sits. It will be a tad lower in the front. Pics are without the motor and GRU. Had to take them out to make the 3link front. Here goes. Oh and of course a flex shot Cage will sit a bit higher when 100% done, just a bit though. Still need inner fender wells, interior, and the one thing that bugs me the most, where to put the battery. Its so cramed underneath that i cant fit anything bigger than a 1500 2s or 3s. My preffered batts are 2200 2s lipos though. Too big to put underneath! |

I think you should leave the door tops on because they almost complete the realistic look of it! oh and by the way, that truck is sweet! i love that color.

I hate the way the pics came out. Its soo much nicer with the naked eye. This crappy camera phone does it no justice. The damn pics show like 3 different shades! Gotta get a new camera!
