ok so I went another route with this build but its still a jeep, just a TJ lol.

yeah yeah another tj.. soooo many TJ builds in the 1.5 section its crazy but mines different!!

i went with a new chassis, made one from 3/16 square solid stock, works perfect for an MRC chassis!!

got these parts on it..

MRC pro drivetrain
metal lockers
modded motor plate with HH 14t 454 puller
tekin b1r
CC bec
3s lipo
Turnigy 959 all aluminum servo with 200oz.
TF2 wheels and tires will change to 1.9 and invaders soon.
frnt tube fenders
tube bumper
3r winch
dx3e and sr300
rc4wd ultimate scale 90mm frnt shocks
MRC aluminum rear shocks
derlin steering links
aluminum scx skid

I pretty much threw this thing together but it came out ok... it performs VERY WELL. it surprised the hell outta me

it will get new tires and im working on a CMS..
I shaved the front axle, made beef toob things not rear ones mind you. 1/4 stainless tube= perfect beef tubes for mrc axles..

built a steel 4 link truss for front also.

thanks guys!!

so i burned up the B1R somehow by plugging in a battery during some testing PISSED.

oh well.

so over the last month in my spare nite time hours I have been able to get a few more things done on what is now 2 separate rigs, now i finally have one for me and her to drive both, when we go camping and on our trip to newmexico this summer...

goal is made, not done yet but they both run and thats good. let me know what you think and see my new tuber build in the 1.9.. also i do plan on putting scale whels and tires on the red one. I just picked this lil MRC comp buggy up and threw the body and boat sides on.

thanks

Do you know how much wider are the mrc axles compared to scx-10 axles? They look almost the same on your rig

well i turned the hubs around on the rc4wd 1.5 steel wheels for one, 2nd i have junfac widners on the frnt of one of them. and Im not sure exactly but i think they arent much different, maybe an inch or so

BTW these bodies arent 1/10 newbrights they are 8 inch wheelbase and more like 1/16 scale. they are pretty small!!

super fun lil rigs to drive! im having a lot of fun on my small course in the back yard, the course fits the smaller rigs much better than it did my 1/10 tj, and its so much easier to build a course for the smaller trucks IMO

I have some more updates also, the red one is looking great!

thanks everyone
