Default Toyota Crunch

I figured since I have been absent for sometime it was time to toss some stuff together. I wanted to have a cool class 1 rig that I would not try to destroy. So I set off looking for a Metal Masher classic. So I ended up picking up his Clone 2.

I have completely torn it apart and rebuilt it. Still going through some stuff since I plan on changing some stuff and yes the driver stayed.

The way it currently sets:

Got some work done on it today. At first I was going to remove all of the dents but since it is an old Yota it just adds character. I rebuilt the driver since he originally was assembled with a rubber band that had dry rotted. So this time I used a hair tie to hold him together. Now to figure out what drive shafts to use since MIPs are a tad to long and the plastic ones that came with it are on the short side. Going to work on different shocks so they actually work and don't leak as well. Next is rewiring everything so there isn't a rat nest all over.

Awesome score!

Have you looked into using the MIP dig driveshafts? They're shorter than the regular ones. I can measure the male end when I get home.

No I haven't, I have a set of integy shafts I was thinking of cutting down. Will have to look at the dig shafts since the ax10 shafts are about 3/8" to long.

The male dig drive shafts are ~7/8" shorter than the normal ax10 male drive shaft.

I'm just glad I have a new one in a box in my closet so I can drive the hell out of this one and not feel guilty.
