I went to the crawler course today and let me say this...the Lambo performed much better than I expected! I couldn't believe how well it handled the rocks and terrain. the tires deformed just enough in my opinion. the growlers seemed to grab the rocks very well and I figure they will only get better as they break in. Here are a few pics from today, I took the Lambo as well as all my other crawlers but I only took pics of the Lambo.

I think I finally have a good class 1 rig! The only thing I see keeping it out of class 1 right now is not having a Chassis mounted servo which I plan on doing later this year..I am currently unsure if the front wheels meet the spec for center of the wheel well +/- 1/2 inch

Personally I would struggle with competing against it as a class 1. The body is "comp cut" like you would a jeep or chevy. But it is a badass rig.

I see what you are talking about, the front fenders are cut pretty far forward...so it may not qualify as a class 1, thats ok, it still is a great rig! I can always build another class 1 rig anyway and I rarely compete....

that being said, I think it would be class 2 legal as it stands right now..

I tested it on some wood outside before I went to the course and it would climb the wood panel up to 55 degrees.... as would all of my other crawlers.. so I am happy about that as well...

I really want to say this is the stupidest thing I have heard of, but somehow I cant.

That thing is pretty neat.

It reminds me of a beach fishing rig that was down in NJ for a while, guy made a 4x4 vette.

Not yet, work has been busy and I have been building up a 6x6 so not much time to spend on my other rigs. That being said, I hope to becable to hit the crawler course again later this week when I am off since the weather is supposed to be excellent!

I continue to be impressed by this crawler though, its much better than it appears is would be. I am pretty sure the growlers have a part in that! I will be looking for another one of these bodies to keep for a spare.
