well with the Lone Star Scale Comp in the morning and 90% of the to do list for hosting it done, and not haveing a rig to compete with i figured i better get busy. since my nats jeep was the only one with a still valid inpection sticker i figured it was my only choice. i went from bare chassis to RTR in about 2 hours luckily by digging threw my bins, and scavenging other half complete rigs i was able to find all the origonal parts i built it with so made it go by fast. even found the origonal links all ready to go. that was a huge time saver. i raised the suspension about 3/8" and threw on my set of TSS "Trail Ready" beadlocks. the only unmounted tires i had were some Tomahawks (OG hard compound :-( ) so i threw them on. i also removed the hard top and all the roof rack and lights etc. lowered the CG significantly. also went to a smaller spare to reduce draging on climbs. we'll see how she does, although alot of work im looking forward to a fun day tommorrow. cant wait. |
