So far about 30 hours total give or take a few. Once the body has all the paint work done, I am going to have to think about where it goes from there, shiney or weathered. That is why I used red oxide primer in case I take some off.

paint has been all krylon for Home Depot. This is some shots that I took today, still have alot more detail work to do but It's almost there. Still can't decide on what finish to leave the body. Any input??

weathered is the only way a willy's should have been....i would have left it the primer red and i would have added rust spots....but thats only me...ALOHA!

Awesome paint choice..!! My opinion... I'd say weather it, BUT don't go crazy doing it... slight rust here and there, and some of the paint beginning to "wear" away... ( possibly exposing some of that oxide primer...) that would look KILLER..!!! Sweet build man..!

Yeah I like the weathere look too so it will stay this way for maybe the next week, I'm getting some scale accessories for it and will start aging it next weekend. I am not going to go overboard but primer coming through is a must, especially on the roof.

I like the restored look better. That's just too purdy to weather! What are you going to do for bumpers?

Yeah I am playing with some suspension ideas to try and lower it. I have been thinking of simple bumpers for it, maybe just round tube? I do like the western bumpers but would need to make them from steel.

Absolutely awesome work.
I'm sure you have thought of this, but my vote would be go for the authentic look,
swap the springs for under sprung (axle over), just like the real willy's. Looks great so far.
