Watch out with the nylon coated wire, we've found that while it looks great when new the coating soon comes loose and jams stuff up.

If you're looking for scale winch rope take a look at the 50-80lb braided fishing line. The stuff you were using earlier looks like dacron which doesn't like abraision, the braid will take a lot more abuse.

Much like this stuff

I have ordered your dash decal kit from u and was wondering if the guages fit in the rpp bezels good or did u need to trim the decal any ?? also what was used to glue the bezel to the dash ? thanks

It is great to see a high detail scale truck that is actually used in comp & scratched up from use. Super build.

that left me with a 5645 servo that i needed to do something with. perfect! convert that sucker into a winch and find a spot for it in the truck. anyone that has a heavy scaler well knows that the 3racing winch can't handle the load.

after a few hours i had the truck apart and back together again with better steering and a strong winch that can now handle the pushing 9lbs rig.

now on to pics..

first, placement for the winch servo? after i studied the truck i found a nice spot for it. easy enough since i had the fatbatt long tray installed. you can see the tube CA'd to the bottom of the plate. it will route the line. Also in the pic you'll notice the relocated mounted holes. i had to move the tray 6mm back so the furthest servo mount could be mounted.

Hey Ric,

Did you screw the sewing spool to the round servo arm? If not, how did you attach the spool to the servo?

Thanks and the rig is looking great!

the decal fits in the bezel just fine as is. as far as glue, just regular CA is what i used after i trimmed off the back of the bezel and made it flat.
