they have wheel wells if it is tubbed out for bigger tires, lol. it isnt for scale look, it is for function so he can have a drop bed and have it clear the hoops besides that he is going to cover them up with junk anyways so you wont see them. |

Got the bed all together and mounted to the body, now comes the the paint work which will be the harder part especially to get the right look i am after fir this body.

Got some paint on it, just letting the back it, it was a little humid out but that is cool cause it ads to the effect to the paint so it wont look perfect, lol. I sprayed the body with a paint adhesive promoter on the outside then sprayed some rust colored primer then a thin coat of silver and finally the red. Now when the paint cures enough I can start on the detailed part like the silver showing through and rust, etc. I also hand cut the sign for the sides so it looks like it was in the show.

I got the sanding part done to show the layers of paint, to metal and then rust. Topped it off with a matte coat so it has a weathered look. Now i have to do the signs for the doors and the detail part of the window trim, grille, door handles, etc. Then I can lay the real rust process on in some small spots. Then I could do the secret part to the truck, hehehe. Well here are the pics i got.

hay jwalker, looks like you need to start on the paint job. looks to me it's starting to rust leaving your work out side. nice job, be cool to see the old Timmy paint job done. good job on the paint scheme. can't wait to see the old busted washer in the back. LOOK ma all the junk in that trunk
