Default "Big Dummy" class one project.

Here is my next project and probably last one for a while. I am still collecting parts but the body has been sent out already to give it the charasteristic paint scheme of this project. All I can say for now is, it will have some rust and a lot of junk in the bed. A Parma Ford 53 body will be used, Hummm?

Components gathered so far:
53 Ford Parma body
SCX chassis
Axial axles
RC4WD scale shocks
RC4WD R2 tranny
RC4WD 35t motor
Hitec 645mg servo
RC4WD Rock stomper tires
Tamiya Land Rover/Defender wheels

This build is just to have some fun with it so I have tried to keep the budjet low. We'll see what I end up with.

This is the closest body to the real 1:1 I was able to find.

You're gonna need a little driver clutching his chest, saying "this is the big one 'lizabeth"

Not much done with this thing, just gathered the parts to see where I am. Body is in good hands, pics should start coming soon. I started putting some rust on the shock bodies, will see how it comes out when it cures.

I assambled the chassis and fixed the R2 tranny to the chassis. I also installed Hand Brothers steering kit and recycled the links from my Silver bullet Taco. Not much but I made some progress.

A little rust on the shocks:

While I wait on the body I decided to try my luck with styrene. I want to make some items to put in the back of the truck. If you remember the show, Lamont was always picking up junk to clean it up and resale it as "comodities". I gave my best shot at this old school washer machine. The plan is to paint some rust on it and throw it in the bed along with some othe junk! Styrene gods, please don't judge me to hard.

I used this kit:

I applied both steps and left it outside over night. Also used a little of paint for the weathering effect.

I think they did but she probably knows more about washer machines than I do.

Got some update pics for you on your body, i will have some more updates when i get the bed done and mounted then it is off to the paint part. To be able to clear the rear shock hoops i had to tub it but when you fill the bed you won't be able to see them.
