| DarkmanX attempts a Truggy Ok this is my first scaler and the first time I have ever brazed before, so don’t hate on me too much. I also want to say that the level of respect I have for some of the fabricators on this site has increased by x20. This will hopefully be a G6 Tundra Truggy when I get done. So far I am happy with how it is turning out and as always I am open for sugestions. Usual Specs Scx10 honcho Tekin 17.5 brushless Rc4wd winch Future upgrades GCM axle housings VP high clearance knuckles Super 300 axles MIP Drive shafts Proline Power strokes Full interior I know there’s more I just can’t think of them right now! Anyway on to the crappy cell phone pics! |

Give yourself some credit... at least you're trying! It only gets easier, and now you have another skill under your belt. The first cage I built I kept muttering in my head, damn there's some talent on the forum! Two sticks of deodorant and a stiff neck later, I had something to look at! The cage looks pretty good! Keep your bird's mouths clean and don't over braze and it will clean up nicely for paint. Keep rockin and post up the progress Last edited by Bulldog; 12-08-2011 at 12:58 AM. |

A chainsaw file the same diameter as the tube you're using will help with that. Nice work on the truggy, I need a little torch set up like that so I can give it a go. Keep up the good work. I just checked out the price here for that kit, AU$135.00 compared to your US$60.00 Sometimes it sucks to live here. Sometimes. Last edited by HyperMark; 12-08-2011 at 01:29 AM. | |

That's looking good lance. As one post already said birds mouth the joint, and a little silver goes a long way. I really like that tundra body.
