Not sure if you can afford it, but I would suggest looking into lipo batteries. I'm sure you can find a pack small enough to meet your needs. Not to mention rediculous run times and life-span.

Thanks guys ;) Little update. As you maybe know I did some adapters to mount the landmax on TLTs axles. Under the Landy the adapters were a bit wide tho and under articulation the tires hit the fenders. I milled away 2,5 mm from the nylon hexes and now the tires are where they are supposed to be. Now under artic the tires go right into the fenders. That's still a mock-up phase, but more or less the final twist will be this. In these two pics there's no shocks at rear. As you can see below there will be more droop at rear. Studying the rear suspension. Links are done and mounted. Shocks will be internal and slightly inclinated. What do you think? ;) |

Thanks guys ;) I completed the rear shock towers. I haven't mounted the springs yetand I have to complete the front towers, but the suspension is almost completed. Close ups of the rear suspension under artic. Flexying. Not bad, especially for a scale rig, isn't it? ;) Naked and dressed form a couple of views I'll prolly have to do some trim to the fenders, but nothing relevant. I'm very satisfied. Maximum artic with horizontal frame. As supposed there's more travel at rear. Ride height. Full droop Full compression ;) |

Read through this thread again and there was no mention of the manufacturer of this Defender body shell. Rik do you happen to know who made the shells?

Thanks to all guys ;) you make me blush I'd like to have some more time to spend on the project, but currently I'm hardly working on an important different project: my little second son (4 months old) pigeon I don't know the name of the manufacturer I bought it from a guy who live in Hong Kong. It came from a toy, the man disassembled it and sold the body ;) Last edited by Rikpal; 12-22-2006 at 10:26 AM. |
