Smile RC4WD Gelander 90 Pickup and his Daddy 110

Hello Guys....
I'm workin on my old glorious G2 and decided to give a new body an some mods to improve performance...
The target is: Street Defender 110, trail for the C1 comp Defender pickup

The rig will have new elettronics also:
Holmes esc
Holmes Stubby inrunner motor 2200kv
Hitec 7950 servo
ccbec

I will work on the chassis also
2speed tranny grabbed fron Tf2
major mods etc


By the way here you are some pics

Started to remove the crome on the plastic parts with an oven cleaner.
Just put them in a glass over night...






be careful always use a first aid to protect you in case


Started on the body major works....
As already known ... the defenders are a bit hard to make well... by the way I hope my work will help

Here it is the new body taken from G2 Kit by RC4WD....



took a pickup kit made by shapeways and sellin via my Frien shop here in italy...




and started to trim....







Finally after some minor issue...

details over fuel gasket...








Finally cutted the interior just to take some measures of the bed that will be full height..




Mocked up with the Def roof protection by Rc4wd




ad the cleaned plastic parts

Closed the sunroof with a styrene 0.75mm sheet








and..




fixed the issues from the pickup kit with some 1.5 mm styrene

Worked on the chassis also to ged a full depht rear bed....

moved down elettronics box and removed rear suspension arches




started rear bed...with 1.00 mm styrene sheet











while waitin for some more styrene sheets i've grabbed from my tf2 the 2 speed tranny and installed in...

Finally started to work on the hood... to trim and raise down it..

after hours of sandin, puttying, sandin etc... i had a smart hood..








minor adjustments to the grill..







shaved the corners...






and finally get a nice result..

Sure you can... His site is switchable ita/English so you can order it...
