|  R2 2 speed transmission
So I think I wana upgrade my r2 transmission into a new two speed one has any one used one of rc4wd's r2 2 speed? And is ther anything special I gota do to set it up??? Any info is much apretiated

in 2008 i used their r2 2 speed, but it was in my heavy Super. it broke in 3 feet. Maybe it was an early version and not meant for a heavy rig, but I drove slow. I think it was the sudden stop that broke the 2 speed mech. Strong reliable but bigger is the summit trans or emaxx trans. Does that help? |

K it would be goin in my 9 pound Boyer chassis do I need a servo to make it work both speeds?

yes a servo is required to shift between gears

My rc4wd beast came with one. Besides a crappy servo horn it works fine. This rig weighs in about 10plus pounds and 3 axles. It does have limited gearing options and has been known to fail. The more proven summit tranny would be my choice. Both for strength and the gearing is spur and pinion based for more options.
