| 79 f-150 truggy build
Well I havnt really seen many of these bodies used for scalers so I decided is build a truggy. Sorry I don't have any pics of the build process of the cage I wasn't really thinking about taking pictures at the time LOL. This is still a work in progress as well lol Its an scx 10 dingo kit with the wheelbase extended. Hpi 79 f-150 body. The cage is made of 1/4 brakeline MIG welded together. I will be making sliders and a bumper as time allows me to. The truck is running a sidewinder with a Holmes hobbies torque master pro 45t and a hi tec 985 servo. I've waterproofed the esc and the receiver is inside a traxxas waterproof box. I'm kinda open to ideas as to what I want my front bumper to look like so pics and ideas are much appreciated. Still haven't decided whether this one will have a winch or not Now for the pics Last edited by fallensk8man89; 04-03-2012 at 04:10 PM. |

I dig it!!! I wouldnt half-ass it with a Dingo bumper tho, go make one for it to match the cage! A plain, two bar old school bumper would look sweet! Matt |

yea that's kinda how I feel the front bumper should match the cage. I think I will do some variation of a stinger

ok so I started some work on the bumper tonight. Still haven't quite decided which direction I'm going to go but after mock up I've narrowed it down to 2 simple designs. Let me know what you think. One I bent the pieces for the other I drew on the paper lol made the main support then the stinger style hoop now here's were I'm at a cross roads.... This or this Last edited by fallensk8man89; 04-05-2012 at 12:21 AM. |
