Progress time. I Manipulated 'Monty's' left Arm so that he will be able to hold a Steering wheel at a better angle. I also removed those stupid goofy glasses. Did this with some carefull cutting and then used a Soldering Iron to attach it back on and smooth it all out. This type of Material doesn't like filler for some reason? Sat him in a Wraith Bucket which I dremeled part of the bottom out so he is actually sat in it not on it. Started the Simple Styrene Dash not going to go too overboard but It'll vaguely resemble a Chevy Dash. Bit of a Pain to get it to go round the Bars but i'm getting there slowly. Also chucked some Chrome Paint at the grill and some clear orange on the Marker lights. Headlamps will have LED's in them. |

Great progress. Question for you regarding locking the tranny in low. What's your method?

Good thing about him is he is already in a seated position so you dont have to cut him up to much A Scalpel! re stuck it and Filled the gaps with pieces from an old figure by melting them with a soldering iron | |

Cool I can see now. Nice work. I got mine on eBay for like 15 open box. They are hard to find for decent deal but its good detail. Using the blade is smart....didn't even think of that. I was wondering by most of these figures are pretty difficult to manipulate because they like to go right back to Original shape after heat. Rig looks awesome. I can't wait to get mine back from Phil (ScaleReady) after his treatment. |
