Default Bondo's JK, Lots of steel work and pic heavy

I bought this thing a couple months ago (NIB Axial Rubicon) and finally have made some progress on it.

First was the usage of a RC4WD AX2 2sp trans, this is a powder coated alum case with servo mount and linkage included, also has a 32pitch delrin gear and HD dual slipper pad assembly. The internal gears are wide heat treated steel and should more than up to the task of handling some power.

With some Dremel work to the motor plate and to the inside top of the center skid plate I'm able to use this monster 770 27T brushed motor and plan to power it via 3s 2200mah 40C packs WOOT !

Some poser shots and comparison of the 770 to a Epic 27T 540 motor

Links I'm making with 5/16 All-thread and Revo rod ends with Stainless Steel tubing for a cover.

I have a feeling this will be ultra epic! Definitely subbing this one! Still on brass and styrene but should be graduating to steel soon!

I think I enjoy the Styrene and plastic work the best, reminds me so much of working on 1:1 in the bodyshop before I retired.

Looking good Jeff...

That motor will be "interesting"

What epoxy do you use for waterproofing?

Hey thanks John !

The motor should be a monster for sure, it weighs a lot and sits extra low in the skid plate so COG should be better than average as well ?

I used 15min epoxy I bought from HobbyKing, it was 6-7bucks for 2-6oz bottles

I like the epoxy job on the sv2. However I am wondering what epoxy you used?
