Default "SOCAL" Fabbed IFS Ultra4 / KOH Rock Thug Buggy

I bought this from Krawler4life. He was one of those RockRacers from SOCAL ultra4rc guys. The chassis was built by SDF and This is what it looked like when I got it. It is solid rod frame and the IFS is completely fabbed around REVO diff. MIP Xle shafts

This rig was to long for my liking and had the IRS so I shortened nose 1"1/4" and cut off trailing arm brackets. Some ask why,,,, because I like choppin crap!

Little more time and she looked like this!

Narrowed Ar60 in rear!

She's now roughly 13" WB so I'll shorten it up a bit tomorrow. Track width on front is about 3/8" wider than rear so maybe or maybe not a slight change who knows.

Plans are for V Twin Hammer trailing arms and dual shocks on rear.

Thanks man. That's my thing sheet metal. I always use it. 10"x10' roll at hardware store. Half the hobby is I get to rebuild after every event because the metal looks "raced"

Closer look at what is underneath. This thing is the most valuable rig I've ever purchased. Just because I love building and one of the reasons I bought it is to figure out how to build a full fabricated IFS. Now I have one I can look at anytime I want. I will be narrowing this front end soon, by using A arms I'll build for practice.
Here is a look underneath.

After I did that I had to hit the rocks. I knew she handled superbly on the high speed stuff but wanted to see really how she crawled. Overall very well. Off camber was good and inclines were awesome. I have somebDouble Dueces coming so that should even help more.
I love this rig.

This hobby never stops amazing me. It's is always so cool to see how much thought goes into each of the custom built rigs. This is really nice, how does it run?

Thanks K4L! I'm glad I bought it!
,

Sczerba, thanks man. Yah I was going to let it go then I realized it was only 3/8" wider in front than my narrowed ar60's.

Got her standing up a lil bit. These Crawler Innovations Deuces Wild Closed cel foams definately are what I needed for my 9lber. They are designed for high speed KOH/light rock type stuff. I think 8lb or heavier. Waterproof too which is a "have to"
