I finally got my hands on a scx10 chassis. I've had the stuff to build it, just didn't have the chassis. Parts list: 1. scx10 chassis 2. AX10 RTR axles with C.K.R.C. knuckles and c-hubs, strc rear lockouts, dinky link rear 4-link mount, and lithium grease to water proof it front and rear 3. Stock AX10 tranny Stock AX10 rtr shocks with TCS Edge internal springs and 70 wt oil 4. RC4WD 1.9 steelies with cut boggers 5. Proline '73 Bronco 6. CC sidewinder and BEC 7. Hitec 7955 8. Airtronics MX-3 FG 9. Hobbyking light bar and misc. LED's 10. Custom 8/32 all thread and 1/4 SS tubing links Probably forgot something but must not have been important if I forgot it. Here is how it sits right now. Still have to place all the electronics and mount the body. Body is about where I want it, need to lower the front a little though. Sorry for the dark picks. Should have turned on the light but didn't. Last edited by OTHGbronco82; 07-10-2014 at 06:50 PM. |

So, a little update. Got some 1/8" steel plate cut out and welded for a front and rear bumper. All I need to do is get the mounting tabs welded on and drill the mount holes. I'll post a pic when it's all done. Can't decide if I want to paint it or leave it in the raw form. It isn't stainless either, so it'll collect rust as it gets older. |

Still need to get the bumpers finished. Just need to drill the winch mounting holes and weld on some mounting tabs. But, I did get the light bar all mounted up and ready to go. Still need to get some light buckets so I can get the rest of my lights in place. That and the bumpers and I should be good to go for a while. |

So, after almost crapping myself I figured out that one of the washers on the screw that holds the light bar on was causing issues and fixing the issue I tested it outside. Before, no light: After, with light on 3s w/ resistor: And the resistor is a little warm but nothing like it was with the washer on and screwing up the circuit. And the light it's self was really cool, not cold, but like you were holding it for a while and your hand warmed it up while you were holding it. Overall, not bad for a electronics beginner and less than $20. |
