Default military recovery truck

hi guys, a while ago I bought this cab on ebay built by SEMIJOE (globeliner military construction cab only) and finally got around to doing something with it, I am going for a military style recovery truck with a crane, it is far from finished and haven't even started on the crane yet but you get the idea. keen to get peoples opinions as this is the first time I have attempted a build of this kind.
anyway here it is!

Small update. Made some drop shackles today to help it flex more as it had about as much flex as a skateboard lol

Love the looks of the bed, the rivets give it that scale looks. Keep it up.

Thanks man I would have liked to find some slightly smaller rivets though but they were the smallest I could find at the hardware store and I will be filling in the small holes on top of the rivets before paint to make them look abit more scale

Wil be interesting to see how it will handle I've never driven anything with a wheelbase this long and it's going to be damn heavy by the time it's done lol. I've added drop shackles to the front today made a BIG difference

hi guys, an update on the truck bed, not too far away from paint just a few more things I need to get done first. and also I have decided to leave the crane out for now and get the truck going first and later on when I get the crane built and working correctly I will install in on the truck, mainly cause I just cant wait to drive it lol. I have also installed the servo and have all the electronics ready to go when its done so hopefully I will be starting on the crane soon

Very cool, one off, rig!!

Def watching to see this one running!

Are you planning on powered boom or manual boom with powered winch line?
Swinging boom?

Disconnect the driveshaft like they do in 1:1.

I honestly hadn't even thought if that lol but I suppose I will just disconnect the drive shaft as lonelycreeper said unless I can come up with something else.
And it will be a powered winch, will not a swivel boom but I want it to be powered but I am yet to figure out how and the hydraulic kits you can buy are WAY out of my price range lol this has really been a low budget build so far I have spent probably $200 and most of that was the wheels and cab. So if I can figure out a way to make it work then I will but if not I'm happy to settle with a manual boom.

Do some type of screw shaft with a servo on it so the servo can lift and lower the boom. Basically some sort of worm gear type set up
