Default Bombproof Mattzilla class 1 D90 pickup (origianally on 1.7's)

I originally started this build with 1.7 iroks on wagon wheels, but changed to some 1.9's. Its a modified D90 body, bombproof DDK, Currie axles, Velvet shocks front, cantilever rear but that may change, running on a 3100kv Roc, RS esc, Holmes servo, rc4wd diamond plate kit for body, ARB bumper, warn winch and many more goodies to come. Its staying 4 link rear and 3link front with cms and panhard.

I'm hoping to have some progress pics of the chassis very soon.

I actually got the scale bolts from Locked Up for the wheels, axles, diff covers, etc.

The chassis is about to begin. I'd like to thank Rick at SuperShafty.com, Patrick at LockedupRC and of course Lue for the help with everything I've needed for this build. Next update will be when I get the chassis.

The chassis is starting to take shape. Still have a lot to do by Mr Chassis, Lue at Mattzilla RC works.

The body is an rc4wd D90 body which I cut up and made into a pickup. I did the bed, wheel wells, toolbox, etc.

After powdercoat, now she's on her way to Ohio so I can finish it in time for ECSC.

Got it back in my hands today. Did a little mock up for link and front shock measurements so I can order those tomorrow. Laid some more primer and a final sanding before color gets thrown on tomorrow. I was going gunmetal but thanks to a certain buddy I'm going a different route. Scale hardware should be here next week, just in time for final assembly. And no, those red Traxxas links aren't going on there, just mock up parts.

Getting some color today. Another round of wet sanding before it's final. Just waiting on some parts I ordered this morning, but I can still keep on the body and the detail work.

Got the paint done and started with some little details. I have a bunch of parts on the way to get it finished. I decided to use the zinc m3 scale hardware from LockedupRC. I'm digging the zinc against all the black.

Some more body on chassis shots. Body is done minus grill, emblems and rear bumper.

Just waiting on a jackshaft, front springs and a different front third link. I, um, measured it wrong during mock up. Oops. Also needs a spare wheel, install driveshafts, attach the Guru hook and snatch block, then it's ready for ECSC. Well, I hope so.
