Default Rckcrwlr's "Yota Reborn 2" TF2 RTR

I am been waiting for the new RC4WD Trailfinder 2 RTR rig to be released. After seeing an early version of it at ECSC13, I knew exactly what I was going to do with it.

Now to explain the subject...

My first "real" scaler was a Tamiya Hilux in 2008.

This truck has a lot of memories attached to it...
  • First real scaler build
  • Steve "STEVESTOCK" runs with his F350
  • Coining the phrase "if there is an obstacle you can't get over, take it out of the equation"
  • Stick King and mine posing for "the perfect shot"
  • STEVESTOCK getting stuck...and using him as a sand ladder
  • My first "used" look body
  • COW BELL

Here are some epic pictures:

I have to say that this truck was a blast...about two years ago, I parted it out. I regretted it ever since.

The one thing I didn't do is get rid of the body...My plan was to make a Class 2 Rig out of it at some point...

So lets start with the new RC4WD Trailfinder 2 RTR

Great Packing:

Looking good so far:

Nice Retail Packaging...I like the extra foam to keep the mirrors from getting knocked off.

Check out the awesome graphics on the box (ready for a Local Hobby Shop near you)

More to come...

I think it is a great idea that RC4WD made a RTR version of the TF2. I hope it gets more hobbyists out into the scale world.

Loving the red body too! I look forward to more.

I got one of these at ecsc. Its was awesome. The ease of the sibgle speed trans was awesome. And these things take some serious abuse. Mine never failed me. I was never a big leaf spring scaler kind of guy so i got rid of it. Was hard up and should have kept it. Although im sure someone is getting some good use out of it.

John this is gonna be a cool ride n cant wait to see what ya do with it.

So the unpacking started the other night but no internet where I was...so here is the readers digest version.

Very well secured...and removable...

What an awesome looking rig. The red body looks great with the black accents around the windows and the bed liner look.

For those of you that have seen the TF2...the only real difference on the chassis is the single speed tranny...which is exactly what I need.

I picked up the new TF2 Bumper to add to the mix

Designed to move your light housings and lenses from the Mojave Body Set

Also adding a Warn Winch

Here's the first look at Yota Reborn...
