I get some good articulation, roughly 2"-2.5". I like to keep things around there as I'm not a big fan of crazy amounts of articulation. I never tried the short arms so I don't know what they are like. How much are you getting?

I'm probably only getting about a 1.25 to 1.5 inches. it's not much so I'm hoping the other arms make a difference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Wow that is pretty low. LoL I think you should see a big improvement with the long arms. |

| Ok I installed the long travel arms. Those made a big difference on the travel. But now the green springs are too soft. I ordered a set of pink ones, they aren't the hardest but should be a good starting point. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That body is awesome and liking your build. What is the wheelbase and is that one of the jeeps on fleabay?

Nice. If I could offer some advice, trim that bumper mount from the bottom of the grille so you can get the body to sit at an appropriate height. Seems a little tall. That said, you're running Axial axles right? You might need the height to avoid rubbing. Check my JK/FJ thread for details.

That would be the infamous fleabay body a lot of guys are running. As for wheelbase its 10.6", I'll still measure it but thats what it should be based off the specs for the chassis kit from GCM using RC4wd axles, I'm using Axial units. The pics where just straight out of the box for mock-up. Like you said the bumper boxes will be trimmed as well as the lip on the flare to get it a bit lower. I just couldn't wait to get pics. This last Saturday was the maiden voyage of the GCM Jeep that I lovingly call the Red Baron. My first thoughts on this build after pulling the trigger the first time was...........WOW, hella smooth, the flex was just spot on without going overboard. The rear cantilever suspension worked flawlessly with a proper amount of spring rate and rebound, alittle bouncy at high speed but not an issue when crawling at proper pace. GCM did a bang up job on building this chassis, everything from the killer machining to super crazy tolerances to the link geometry, this kit is pure aces. The King shocks are filled with 80wt oil as per others suggestions and they are silky smooth, leak free and spot on. Once I add my servo winch I think the chassis will balance out right where I want it. I plan on tweaking this platform till I get it where I want it for ECSC. Build List: Chassis - GCM Racing Skeleton J2 Ultimate kit (links slightly modded to fit the SCX axles) Axles - Axial SCX10 modded (Over/under gears and XR steering mod) Trans - Axial SCX10 (Full RR Steel gears), GCM 1:1 Transfer case Suspension - King 100mm Front shocks, Dinky RC rear cantilever Wheels - Locked Up Rc 1.9 Adversary's with Gridlock Rings Tires - 1.9 Pitbull Rock Beast w/ Crawler Innovations Closed Cell Single stage foams Power - Tekin Fxr, Holmes Hobbies Torque Master 35t, CC BEC, 2200mah 3s Servo - HobbyKing HK47903TM Mi Digital HV High Torque Metal Gear Servo 31kg / 0.15 / 60g Winch - TZI Servo Winch w/ Heyok 4amp relay controller Body - Ebay 2dr Jeep JK (looks like Asiatees is selling the same one under Boom Racing) And now onto a few pics.... Lost the doors |

Working on getting some basic lighting done tonight. I've been playing around with the HeyOk light controller....top notch stuff. I'm thinking of adding some Poison Spyder touches, like the hood louver setup from Krawler Konceptz, whatcha guys think? |

Well its lots of busy nights getting ready for the East Coast Scale Challenge and its starting to come down to the wire, 8 days to go. Woot woot I got the last of the electrical done tonight. The bad boy Tzi winch installed and running off the one and only HeyOk relay winch controller. Both are very top notch products. |

Did you just notch out the electronics tray to fit the TZI in there?

I used the optional second servo mount and then trimmed the radio tray to fit around it. Worked out pretty good. |
