THANKS! Yes, letters were a pain, but not as tiny as the ones were on the FC70. Now its almost ready for body filler. Going to try and hinge the hood first.

He hasn't started the build yet. It should be soon. He hinted on the M715 forum site it would be in the fifth episode which should be February.

Think I saw something about "Project Lockjaw" on Facebook. Have to do some more research.

Thanks, Well been away on business and have been looking forward to seeing some down-home olive brabness! Finished some detail work, finally figured out the hood hinging issue, and hinged the body for service between beatings. Got it in color and temp mounted. Now for more details, interior, lighting etc.

The chassis, fairly straight forward SCX10, Castle SV3, Holmes 13t Crawlmaster. On 3s power.

Olive time! Hinging the body and hood

Thanks! Yeah always liked these as well, just wasn't sure if I could pull it off. So far I am happy with the results. Just finished the dash with back lit gauges and the front LED buckets and lighting.

Gave a shot at trying to replicate the original M715 front bush guard. Close, think I can live with it.

Finished up a few more details - glass, tailgate chains, reflectors, tailgate bumpers, front bumper etc. still a lot more to do. Still sits a little high in the back, have some 78mm eye to eye shocks coming to test.

THANKS!
So ever have one of the "duh" moments, like something is so obvious that you don't think about it till like 2:30 am - middle of the night kinda thing? So I hinged the hood, because it would be challenging and kinda cool. Then I mounted the body, hinged at the rear and realized I hadn't thought about how I would secure the front. Well I had this "duh" moment and remembered the front body mounts, so I used those to secure the body. Most of the superior builders on this site will probably go - what a dufus, of course you should have used the front mounts. Well - that's my duh story.

So maiden voyage night.....in the basement, on a faux "rock / pillow" - because it's like 0 outside, and of course there is no where but the driveway. Tomorrow it goes outside, to night it's hill climbing - pillow style!

Front body mount:

Working lights:

Hill climbing time! Kinda......

Well time to tackle the interior, thought I would do a bench seat instead of buckets. Bent up the form, added sticky weather stripping, finished with a piece of vinyl upholstery material. Added of levers, window and door cranks, and so far its close to being done, sans a few more details.
