| White Knight , my class 1 bronco
i decided a little while back that i wanted to build a class 1 rig , i had some of the parts already in the hobby room (it's always a good time to acquire new parts ) . i wasn't sure what exactly i wanted to build vehicle wise , so i went to the hobby shop and looked through there body selection . i finally decided on a 73 bronco body , next to pick out a color ....... the chassis and driveline in the pic isn't what i used . finally decided on the color scheme insert O.J. jokes here ....... |

with the paint now decided i turned my attention to the drive train , most of the chassis was a pretty straightforward choice ( SCX-10) . i opted to use a set of pro-line scaler shocks that i had aquired a couple months prior , at first i was worried that the springs on the shocks were going to be too stiff but after driving it i believe they are perfect . i had a set of axial 1.9 beadlocks sitting on my shelf along with a set of MTHEAD delrin rings plus all the stainless hardware for mounting the rings , just needed a set of tires to pull it all together . looked at the scale comp rules and found the max tire size was 4.19" so i bought a set of the 4.19 baja claws and proceeded to kill my hand and wrist putting in all the little screws |

How do you like the small Baja Claws? I just started sing them too and was pretty surprised how well they hook up. And this is after using Pitbull Rock Beasts...

| Re: White Knight , my class 1 bronco i really do like the small baja claws they perform very well with a suprising amount of traction , i am still experimenting with the foams in them ( think i am going to go with a set of crawler innovations foams for them ) i have a set of the pit bull rock beast 2's on my unimog but they were too tall for class 1 .

well we went out and explored some trails in my area trying to find places to go have fun with our trucks , it was a decent area ran through some mud and water ( didn't get a chance to clean it up after .......for a while )needless to say i had to repair a few things ....all of the bearings in the front axle were shot , the knuckle bushings were rusting and causing alot of binding and drag . also my original battery/electronics tray was plastic that i built ( it finally broke ) by chance i had just won a battery tray/electronics tray from HOWLER R/C at the goat hill challenge so in it went . i also discovered that the steering link between the knuckles wasn't bent properly so it wasn't allowing the steering to turn to it's potential ( rebent it ..works good now ) |
