Default Servo throw.

Has anyone used resisters to increase the throw of a savox digital servo to 180°?
The only thing stopping my truck from increased steering is the servo, I'm aware Hitec has a unit that is simple to use for adjusting their digital servos but I dont believe savox does.
I've seen people use resisters on standard servo potentiometers but would like to hear from someone who's done it with a digital unit.
If not I guess I'll be buying a new Hitec, should this end up the route I go what is a good 500in-oz torque 6volt servo.
Money isn't as important as quality but no need to spend it if its not necessary.
Thanks gentlemen.

Thanks but I'd like to keep the savox if at all possible.
I've been finding out hitec has great servos but I'd like to keep the 500in-oz at 6volts.
If the resister method wont work with a digital unit I will go with the 7950th.
That said I believe the potentiometers are the same in standard and digital units, a $0.99 cure beats a $150.00 one.
Thank you again for your time and input.

What radio are you using . I used to have that problem till I found on my radio I could increase the servo throw from 100% to 150%. That savox should be able to throw 180° but the radio might be holding you back. I am using a spektrum dx3. If you are using a rtr radio then you probably won't be able to adjust that part
