Wild weekend with in laws let you know I barely had time to do too much, but progress was made. Wanted to try something new in the front motor mount department. This is what I tried first...Name: uploadfromtaptalk1441039346343.jpg

So after many attempts , it just wasn't going to work with my TSS chassis , so to the lab I went. And this is what I came out with!!!Name: uploadfromtaptalk1441039467900.jpg

Now on the chassis!!!

Once I find a way to xr mod the SSD New axles , we will have a rolling chassis!!!

You could use these c-hubs with wraith knuckles and cut down xr shafts.

Can you show us how you did the xr mod on those axles. There have been a lot of people who have asked if it can be done.

I used the stock wraith c hub and knuckles. On the ssd axle case , I shaved the 2 holes on the case flush . drilled 1 hole on the c hub so as to make sure it doesn't clock on you. With a little force push c hub in place and tighten screw in hole previously done in c hub . With axles pre ground down , I pushed them in place and its done. Tie rod measures to just about 6 inches with standard arms on knuckles from eye to eye. I hope this helps.

It looks good man. For your next build try komacel. I'm just about done with a build of a thikol sprite called first go at using styrene. The komacel is super easy to mold glue and shape.

That is what I am using mostly. But the floorboard is the only thing that is styrene. Thanks for the kind words. My next build will be komacel and aluminum.

I'll have to subscribe a learn a few tricks. I used 3mm and 6mm komacel and I'm glad I did my son had a 4 yr old moment and drove in to my thiokol sprite last night. It held up with no visible damage. Where did you get the komacel if you don't mind me asking. I had a tough time rounding some up.

In between doing the honey do list and preparing for a trail run Sunday I was able to put in some work. I noticed the seats I wanted to have in the truck was not right so.........

Then I thought, you need a fold down table work mat to work on while on the roads and trails and came up with this......

My very own Cow Rc mat.

Together

Finished and test fitted.
