Hey all, been a long time builder and creeper of the forums, finally decided I should join up and start posting some of my own eye candy. This first build has been a project I have tried to finish many times but has been derailed more times than I would like to count, either because I wasn't satisfied or I had to "borrow" certain parts and pieces for other projects. At this point I THINK I have accumulated almost all of the parts I want to use and I figure if I put it up on a forum, maybe THEN I will finally commit and see it out until the end... maybe.

The base of this build derives from an scx Jeep kit I bought last summer, but looking at it now, I think all that remains are the frame rails, rear bumper(for now) and the shell. Anyway without further ado, some pictures and highlights of the potential parts:

RC4WD AX2 trans
GMade R1 Portal Axles
RC4WD JK front bumper with winch and controller
Vanquish Poison Spider sliders
Tekin Rock 412 2300kv with mamba max
Alum or delrin skidplate?
MIPs
and a bunch of other scale goodies for the exterior...

So I had planned on doimg a comparison shot of these next to some scx10 axles, but then I realized of all the different sets of axles I have, I don't own any anymore, lol. So on hand I had some Wraith and Gmade Komodo axles to compare to:




And first things first, time for a tear down and lube job...



CURSE YOU AND YOUR PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS GMADE!!! This build will definitely be getting fresh stainless HEX screws...
