This body has me more than a little bit excited! For obvious reasons...

This will be my mini-me!

First a few pics of the bigger one..

As bought;

Sometimes it changes colour..

Sometimes it leans over...

Sometimes it's a boat..

And sometimes it's clean..

I did some measuring and the scale comes out to 1/8.28.. Perfect for some tuckage! I'm not decided on which chassis yet but probably an Arse-ender with some GCM goodness...

Arse-ender had me laughing!!! Looking forward to this. Are those wheels the RC4WD classics with the black stripped off?

BTW what ever happened to the SOR XJ body you were working on?

I too have wanted this body for a while.. I did but one of the scale off-road bodies... But sold it for double what I paid for it... And have regretted it till now...!!!

Mine is inbound.. Not sure on chassis yet..?

I'll be watching yours for sure!!!!

The wheels are from GCM, very nice too! I've just polished them up a bit.
I still have the SOR XJ.... ;)

So here's a crazy comparison for you, the new body and the ScaleOffroad body!

The two halves bolt together using the supplied 2mm bolts but I also glued mine to ensure there was no movement at all between the two halves. I've started on cleaning up the join..

There's a couple of little injection marks on the roof that need filling too, nothing dramatic though.

The lower sill on mine had a bit of a wonky bit on each side so that got a skim too.

Yep the problem I had with the scale off road body at the time, it was small and narrow.. Unless you bought his chassis and axles it was not a easy build..

I didn't like the robbe axles..! And axial ha D just came in the picture and where a lot wider...!

This body has so much potential!!!

They certainly were tiny! I was lucky enough to eventually track a complete one down, although it's had a hard life and has needed a fair bit of restoration work..

Not much time of late but bits have been painted black.

I had some paint mixed up today at the local paint shop, hopefully I've read the codes right!

Awesome... Dont see many of these on the road here in the UK now, back in the day they were quite popular but i'm guessing none of them saw off roading and spent most of their days on school runs or motorways !

Looking forward to the updates
