Well, I followed this build thread a few years ago and it was being built for RC4WD's East Coast Scale Challenge. The original builder ran into some issues and had to sell it before he could finish it and take it to ECSC.

Just a few specs as it sits right now.

I added all my electronics into it today just to make sure everything spun freely etc. I need to blow it apart and put new bearings in the axles and put some new hardware on it just to freshen it up. Also found out I need to shim this monster servo up a little to clear the axle down below lol! And then I need to find a new color...not feeling the green too much lol!

Anyway, this rig WILL be at the 2016 East Coast Scale Challenge! So lookout it is going to have its shot at ECSC fame!

Same here John! I really liked it during the build stages and hated to see that it never made it out to ecsc....well....that isn't happening this year!

I don't know just yet. I may run with the mini 9.5 from RC4WD. I have run several of them and never had any issues. Possibly a servo winch with a dummy winch up front for looks.

Looks great! I love the axles. Needs a respray IMO. Make it yours with some fresh paint.

Paint is on the list. Really wanted to get a feel for how it drove and where it's tipping points were before I got it all shined up.

Did another round of tire testing. Tried out a set of silver compound Voodoo KLR Tires and foams.

This is the last run that it will be making for a while. Will be tearing it down this week for new bearings, fresh link ends, PAINT and maybe a couple mods to the body.

I am pleased with the performance and handling of the rig so...I TOOK IT ALL APART!!! I am getting with Carter Fab to get some spare gear sets machined down just in case. Not to mention all new bearings and link ends just to freshen her up. Also going to swap out the shock oil for some fresh oil.

Also as suggested...going to give the frame, axles and body/cage a fresh coat of paint.

Just have to say that the Super Shafty DDK setup is pure beef!

Got the body, frame and cage painted this weekend. Toned it down a little. Graphite Dust Metallic body, black cage and frame.





Still need to do the detail work on the hinges etc. As well as get the bumpers painted and installed.

I am happy to announce that I will be running all Helios batteries in this rig as well as my others. I had the chance to run a couple packs through another rig and have to say that the performance is great and the packs seem very well made. Not to mention they are a locally owned group and heavily involved with the scalers!

I have some scale accessories on the way from several of the vendors on here.

Also working on fitting some lighting to it. The Q-Pods are proving to be a pain to get worked into the factory bucket location lol!
