And I sweet talked Jeremy into selling it back to me. Thank you Jeremy!

The truck looked like it hadn't changed since it left Rob's possession, it was a bit outdated and I wanted to update it to 2016 standards.

How I received it:

I started tearing it down for the rebuild..............................

I was very surprised to find some old school CDW tranny outputs on RPP, unfortunately they were the flat spot style as opposed to pin through. Lucky for me I have a good buddy that takes pride in his machining so off to Rob B. at SMW they went to make them pin through. Thank you Rob!

That's all for now, I will update as new parts roll in. Waiting on a chassis from Y-Town in aluminum, SMW skid, SSD D60s and a few other odds and ends. Thanks for looking!

Got started on the front axle, went with the SSD D60s with the XR width mod. When I tore apart the rear axle on the Sammy I found this BEAST of a spool, although I believe it may be a RCP spool, not quite sure though. I figured I'd use it in the front SSD axle to give some weight down low and forward bias.

Tranny rebuilt with the CDW outputs and the front axle.................

I had to do some custom anodizing with a Sharpie, the grey knucks and Cs weren't doin it for me, I know it looks like crap!

Glad to see this rig still going.

Under no circumstances, should you run that stock front axle gear cover. They get hung on every little rock in front of them. I had to learn the hard way.

Thanks, yeah I noticed that while installing it, the grinder should solve that problem.
EDIT: Just ordered the SSD part #SSD00092 diff cover, it's a bit different than the one you're running on the Jeep.

I'm loving all of the rebuilds/refresh going on. Those cut and shut mashers bring back some memories.

Unfortunately those might not be going back on it, we'll see. I do have two sets of them, one set has a 1.9 bead glued in and the other set is just a narrowed 2.2. I spent a lot of time narrowing them that the seam in virtually invisible, almost factory.

I have a chassis on the way from Jake, new body from TBG, Holmes BR-mini, Holmes handwound 35t, and some other stuff.

Thanks for all the kind words fellas!

Rear axle ready. The internals consist of a Blue Monkey 300M spool, U.D. gears, and stock shafts for now. I'll make up the difference in width with hubs for now. Sorry for the crappy pics, I'll be upgrading my phone soon, hopefully the new one takes better pics.

I still need to anodize (Sharpie) the lockouts.

Going to rebuild the shocks that have been on it since the beginning. Three O-rings in the shaft seal will prevent leakage, basically remove the plastic spacer and replace with an O-ring.

Decided I wasn't too fond of the rear axle not being the same width, picked up the SSD parts needed to make it XR10 width and some new diff gear covers.

I also picked up a BR-Mini to power the rig.

Got the cage stripped and repainted flat black.

Chassis should be here soon and then I can start assembly.

Starting to look like a truk.

Due to there being no holes provided for the SMW skid, I used the forward hole in the chassis for the front of the skid and had to drill a hole for the rear hoping to achieve some forward bias.

Thanks for looking!

No, I'm running a SMW skid.

According to my measurements the SMW skid's mounting holes are about 22.5mm, the holes in the chassis are about 39mm unless there's something I'm missing, which does happen a lot.

Can a moderator please move this thread to the 2.2 section?

I tried building a 1.9 but the tires just look too small for me.
This build is going to be going a different direction, as much as I want to use the tubework on the new build something keeps pulling me in a different direction. I'll hopefully have some updates in the next few days.

Thank you Mr. Moderator
