| Browncoat | Truggy Project
I'm back into the fray after a long hiatus. My AX10 build was lots of fun, but I've always lurked here and been jealous of the cool scale crawlers. Time to build one of my own! My first build taught me that I'm going to replace most of the stock kit anyway, so while this will be based on the Axial SCX10, I'm starting from scratch and not buying the kit. This will probably be a long project, as I don't have the time (or the funds) to go all-in right now. Definitely looking for advice and suggestions. I really like BadWagon's and noname's truggy builds, but not 100% sure I want to go the Hilux route myself. I'd love to find an International Scout hard body, but I suppose everyone wants a unicorn. So far, I've managed to scoop up a full SCX10 chassis from eBay and some SSD D60 axles. Also grabbed a scale figure because...priorities? |

Welcome back! Why not just scratch build the cab? The internationals are pretty square with just rounded edges. I bet it wouldn't be that hard to do. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Glad you dig my truggy! |

Just a heads up, I noticed that both of the builds you linked to (mine and noname's) use SMF cages. I do not recommend using them for your cage. I did it have a great experience and had to chop my cage up to make it fit properly.
