Default D110 crew cab a beginning...

Start of a new project, a slow build again...
So Defender 110 crew cab bodyshell, steel wheels and narrowed axles after these pics were taken. (Thank you Vaterra!!) Cut 10mm per side and the wheels fit really nice under the arch flares.
As you can see, its aimed to be a proper scale jobby and going down the Heritage series way... Bit more painting tonight, so no more pics at the moment.
Should also point out the barely visible Chinese carbon chassis, need to make/ modify some links as the wheelbase is a bit longer than my Hilux..

Paint dried overnight, arch flares added, lighting and grill started.
Tyres fit just right (I think!) although I may go for some smaller scale ones yet...

Obviously the wheel base is too short, but this is it:

Further progress. I have a Losi comp crawler that was left unused and that has been a doner rig- shocks went to my Hilux build and drivetrain to this.
Motor mounts top and bottom.
