Default Brushless Sensor Set-up/Mamba X

Would it be alright to run this motor instead of the Slate style? I can get a combo with this motor, I believe about $30 cheaper and I can't find a reason not to go with it, but maybe y'all can tell me why not...?

The slates are supposed to have better low end torque. Ive been running the slates for 2 years now without any issues

I appreciate your feedback, but I found a Mamba X basically brand-new for $90, updated and everything, and I am actually going to probably go with a TEAM BROOD 10.5T sensor brushless motor I found out about for $50 or another motor, can't remember the brand at the moment, but both have a lot of great reviews, but the Team Brood comes with the circuit board already waterproofed in the stuff people dip them in to coat them protecting them from any damage

Those are two pole motors, not as much torque and startup won’t be as smooth as the slate. Slates are designed for crawling, those motors are more SC truck oriented

I don't need it to be super perfect smooth, just better than a simple RTR unsensored brushless system. I am building an extra wide stance TRX4 Bronco, with 2.2 RC4WD MONSTER MUDDER TRACTOR STYLE TIRES, and while it will do some crawling, I just want brushless power and it to be smooth, which I can improve with gearing and I plan on doing if need be. Still not sure which one I am going to go with. I am still thinking about the TENSHOCK motors I saw tested against the SLATE motors on EXOCAGED R/C, which is on YouTube if you haven't seen it. That guy does a lot of cool testing and those 3 motors he tested were super smooth and they were unsensored motors

If you want a killer non sensored, Holmes Relvolver is the ticket...... if the noise doesn’t bother you
The tenshock 12 pole is similar

That noise drives me insane!!! First and only video I saw of it, was like nails on a chalkboard and I changed it!!!! I am not really looking to get a Holmes, or than the brushed motor that's already installed in this really nice SCX10 I purchased off eBay yesterday with 4 or 5 sets of tires, 2 sets of beadlocks I believe and many extra parts and tools. Here's a couple of pics of it
