the only way to narrow these rims is on the inside bead, that would make them seem to stick out farther.

what i did was took out the bruiser stubs and replaced them with tlt stubs. voila, lost an inch on track width. i am gonna try tg10 stubs or something because i need more thread.

If you actually could get them as narrow, it would be awesome. They would be the most scale axles out there probably. The width would be perfect. Good luck, i can't wait to see what comes up.

ok i got my winch, but the switch on my tq3 doesnt have the fine adjustment. so it keeps spinning in one direction even in the off position. does that mean i have to get a new radio or can i just change it to a different switch. one thats sort of like a dimmer where i can have variable rate? that would be sweet.

you've got to adjust the center point inside your servo. If you dont, it will constantly spin looking for it. Just hook up your servo and turn everything on (note: the servo is dissasembled at this point) then take a pair of pliers and slowly turn the adjustment till the servo motor stops. then take CA glue, and glue it in that position. It is very touchy so its tricky to get, but a very simple way to make a winch

So what fixes the issue after doing this? When I put everything back together and turn my steering left, the winch goes out and if I turn the steering right it goes back in. Let go of the steering and it stops. So for some reason something is wrong. If I use my 3rd channel everything works just perfect for the winch.
I have charged up my battery back, my RX and Radio and it still does this.

Great build, I think it looks good with either set of axles.

I don't understand your problem. It sounds like everything is working how it should. A winch isn't variable speed if thats what your thinking. Either it's pulling line in, out, or its stopped. There isn't a way to get inbetween.

are you sure? i would love to take a switch that delivers different speed. like take the steering switch from another remote and use that as a winch control??? that again would be sweet.
