More done, almost complete. Made some small extensions so I could seal the RX box and not have to open it to work on stuff. CC Mamba X finally came. Installed it on the skid on a raised platform. Just high enough for the link ends to clear. Wired up and buttoned up. Picked up a KYX steel stinger and a Powerhobby winch. Made a controller from an old servo. Waterproofed it and put it on ch3. Works great so far. How she's sitting as of now. Starting raining, again, so I'll have to do some testing and tuning sometime this week. |

Nice progress! I like how you have the esc centered up. Rig is looking like it’s ready to eat up some rocks.

First test run. Short run, started to rain again and don't wanna get the camera wet. Gonna have to trim off some of the front bumper and a smidge off the front of the front fenders. Def need better tire foams. The stock ones are way too soft. Other than some small tuning it did great. Nice controlled start up and slow crawling speed. And nice wheel speed to boot. Very pleased thus far Here's my crappy vid... Robotboy's Portaled Nukiser Game Changer 4.2 |

I'll have to get some new pics, changed a couple things after some runs. Added some slightly stiffer springs and I had to trim down a little of the front fenders and bumper. Just enough to clear at full flex. I changed the tires to PL 120mm G8 Hyrax. I've been hearing great things about them plus I want to put the Landmines on a 1.9 Comp rig I'm building. Anyhoo, here's the updated specs. Gonna try to get more pics and maybe vid over the weekend. Crawlspace Game Changer 4.2 Stage 2 Chassis kit. Axial Jeep Nukiser Body. Xtra Speed Aluminum AR44 housings, China portals, DSM bearings and STRC shock/link mounts. Holmes Trail Master Pro 1700kv BL motor. Castle Mamba X WP ESC. RR 58T steel spur & 9T pinion. Annimos 25kg WP servo. CC BEC. HPI Venture scale shocks. KYX steel driveshafts. Boom Racing steel transfer shaft. In The Works bent steel lower links. PL 1.9 Hyrax G8 4.73" tires. China Aluminum Beadlocks. Crawlspace electronics trays. KYX Steel front stinger w/ Powerhobby Winch. KYX RX box. Homebrew winch controller on channel 3. Wheelbase is sitting at 12.5". Nice one! seems to get around pretty well and you definitely didn’t have any clearance issues on that jagged rock pile. Truck is looking real good. Nice work.

it'll go anywhere I want it to. It was a good choice for chassis.

together those axles it was probably close to $500. But you could do axles a lot cheaper. I cheaped out on other things like servo, shocks, driveshafts, etc. So at 800 I'm sure you could put together a very capable rig.
