| Noob GSpeed Build - ? About Parts
When I say I’m a noob, I mean it. Got my first RC the day after Christmas: a SCX10 iii JLU. I fell head over heals after my first trail run. I then watched every LCG build video on YouTube and started ordering parts for my first build. There is a ton of info out there and it’s a little overwhelming. Here is my list of parts so far. I’m planning on running either the AR45 portals from my SCX10iii or going with the Vanquish Currie Portals if I can stomach the price. My question is, will all these parts work together? GSpeed TGH-V3 carbon chassis GSpeed TFR panhard mount GSpeed TGH-V3 sliders Gspeed chassis spacers GSpeed G-LD LayDown servo mount GSpeed G-2S body post holders Gspeed AR45 axle panhard mount support Gspeed TPL battery tray Vader Products skid plate TGH T-210 Transmission & Transfer Case TGH forward motor mount w/ brackets for V3 TGH lo-pro-long servo arm Hardcore RC links spec’d as follows: MODIFIER: HIGH CLEARANCE PANHARD: TFR AXLE: AR45 SKID: VADER SCX MATERIAL: Domestic GR5 Ti SERVO MOUNT: GSPD G-LD Hardcore RC SCX10 iii steering link set Hardcore RC 64mm straight link (for panhard bar) Traxxas TRA5347 rod ends Team KNK monster bag hardware kit Team KNK aluminum spacer variety pack I have the TGH mirrored skid in my cart as a back order. I think I need this, but not sure. I don’t know what length driveshafts I need. Custom length or will SCX10iii driveshafts work? Planning on the Ottsix shocks. Planning on Holms Hobbies motor, servo and esc when it’s released. Because I gathered all this info from various videos, I really don’t know if these parts are all going to go together. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated! |

| Re: Noob GSpeed Build - ? About Parts For AR45 I believe you should have the G-MP panhard mount (at least that's what Gabe Fleming, owner of GSpeed uses with ar45). This would need to be reflected in the hardcoreRC link options too. Quote:

1: T-210 -- I don't think you need anything, but I'm by far the least familiar with this option 2: TGH FMM + TGH t-case -- you need the mirror kit, as you need the mirrored skid and jig for drilling holes in the rails 3: TGH FMM + CreeperT t-case -- you need to drill holes in the rails for the mirrored FMM, but you can technically do that without the jig (read: it's up to you). For the skid you'd flip it & countersink the holes on the (new) bottom. | ||

I found that the element gatekeeper aluminum panhard mount works perfectly just using the mount itself and not the braket. It doesn’t offer the adjustments like the GMP does , but it looks clean. I like the 2.low transmission because of the center output for standard scx style axles, not good for ar45 axles though. But it leaves room to put the battery and ESC up front on either side of the driveshaft. I finally got mine built, i need to post some pictures of mine in the G-speed thread. Post pictures of yours when you start getting it together.

Aloha Welcome to The Rc Crawling world and I agree with Munchagepeople U would have to get the mirrored kit for portals and you should start with ar44 axles!! Gabe from Gspeed. helped me amass all the parts for my first V3 build and I also overbought by a lot! as far as the Trans best easiest bet is the TGH 2.0 Low. That said alll those extra parts can then be used on a different build! Now having extra parts makes sure I don't have to wait on back ordered parts because all of the parts go quick for all the manufacturers like TGH LockedUpRC InTheWorksRC Crawlspace Gspeed ETC... Looks like you have most everything you need except driveshafts you will need 3 one from the motor to the trans and then front/rear axles here is what I got !!!! BUZZZZ.... Like Munch noted earlier, you don't the T-210 and the FMM. One other transmission option would be the TGH 2.low. I've got the FMM and the TGH transfer case in my Sherpa and a 2.low in the GSpeed chassis. The T-210 and the 2.low are a simpler build, but I don't know which is better. As for the panhard mount, get the GMP version. That's what I used, initially with Enduro axles and now with AR45P's. |
