| '80 K5 Military Blazer, "Combat Chuck"
Here it is, abandoned in the weeds, collecting spider webs, dust, and rusting away: Dragged it out with my Ford: Fairly good shape, paint's still good, a little rusty, but overall in decent shape: Here it is next to the Ford: Got it going and took it on the trail. A 454 hooked up to a 4 speed makes for an awesome rig! Soon to come: -3 inch lift -36 Swampers -front bumper with fairlead -tow rings -5-ton winch -coil over shocks and a few other things. |

This one is my favorite! I also like these type of threads, something to break it up. Good looking rig, you should make it look even worse (worse=better). |

Yeah, military Blazers had 6.2L diesels, but maybe the "previous owner" did some mods before abandoning it in the field. ;)

You can get Tamiya olive drab for plastics and use it on polycarbonate as long as you do a thin coat of a polycarbonate safe paint before the OD. Also, a 35t through a emaxx 2-speed on 6 cells is the real powerplant, with a Hitec HS55 servo doing the shifting. | |

Got the truck back to the shop and went to work. The Good 'nuff racing 3 inch lift kit installed very easily. All it consisted of was lift block, longer screws and was the cheapest route to get the job done. I also installed a set of coil springs and retainers on the stock shocks, just until I get my Rancho's. Now, the tires. I decided to go with 37x13 Swamper Boggers, and they are significantly larger than the 33" mudterrains it came with. Here it is with the fresh meats on it: Soon to come: -New shocks, bumper, and some other random stuff. |
