Finally after what seemed like a month of drewling this thing hit the rocks. Yesterday it was at George Rogers for an hour and today it lasted almost two hours before one of the front shocks Blew apart. It was very impressive seeing a 12lb buggy crawl so easily. Very nice job Gabe |

| Re: wide open designs BLOWER BUGGY
Instead of starting a new thread this one will just be continued. Buggy had said it was Ok so here we go. 2012 gave me and my family alot and it took alot of time from our already busy lives. This little buggy ended up blowing out a CVD a couple months after getting it. Then it hung on my wall while other interests and life changes got in the way. Time has past and I have been rebuilding the rigs hanging on my wall and now its this awesome trucks turn. The goal is to make it wider, lower and slim her down woithout taouching th chassis and keeping some of the key points that Gabe and I both liked. Started with some almost new VP axles from a member off this site. Added some Titanium links Will be trying these XD shocks with working piggy backs, 93 mm in front and 103mm out back Added a Dinky S link with servo mount up front. At this moment the rig sits over 1 inch lower at ride height. Tha massive 12.5lbs has been slimmed to 7lbs with twice as much front steering as before. I already have a rear steer 2.2 and these axles have rear lockouts so it will only be front steer. The locked out rear axle will also keep the truck managble at speed with a 2 speed transmission. And as previously power is required. I have decied to go with the first Gen Tekin 13.5 brushless sensored motor. The second gens have open cans, a Pro4 cost twice as much and this little can has proven iteself before on 3-4s. Some clearancing was requied for right tire articulation. CI 6inch Wide Duece foams were installed on 1inch wide wheels. This gives the tire a baloony look and keeps the slop out of the side wall. i have never tried this before but it looks good and sounds good for the moment.
