I love it! I'd remove the wideners though.

I'm diggin' the new body. I'd ditch the wideners, too.

You'll come to see that scale rigs are worse than crack. You'll start jonesing for the next one before your first pack is out

Oh yeah, I already have more stuff on the way. They're dangerous becuase you can't just cannibalize one and build another, you want to keep it intact

I'm thinking about a leaf-sprung Diaz-chassis witha Lunchbox on it for a goofy little basher, but I've also got an old Blackfoot that wants to donate its body for science.....

Gotta love a scaler TLT with a little exo !!! when reading the thread and body color came up I was already thinking red, the new body is awesome!!!

I see you are someone like myself, can't resist diecast cars of all types and sizes. It is a illness I know cuz my Hot Wheels collection alone is over 1000!!!

Looking around right now I've got the Courier, a 2.2 VMG, a mini-T, an mini-LST, an RC18MT, a micro RS4, 2 airhog aero-aces, ~12 1:18th diecasts, ~10 1:24's and aobut 30 1:64's........it's a bit of a sickness......

And I love my job

Looks like your "practice body" turned out pretty good, but you are indeed braver than I. I don't let new nurses stick me, I don't let young guys change my oil, and I certainly don't let anyone else paint my shells. Your gamble turned out for the best though. Awesome job on the Exo, any chance you are considering some light tabs on the front?

I think the paint job on the 2nd lid looks good. But, for scale look, the first body looks much much better to me.

This is not directed at you!
I'm stating to everyone, what the deal is...

There is no gamble w/ Double J!
He is straight up, & will "communicate", your P.M. box FULL! 8-) Which reminds me Double J: I have room for p.m.'s now...
All you do (for now) is ship the body & the paint colors of your choice (for airbrush {which he get's to keep} ), explain your "vision" over the Phone & he does the rest.
If he messes it up for any reason; He strips it & start's over.
It takes him a minute to do it partly because he's practicing your design on something else, before he commits to the body.

Also, HE pay's for the shipping back to you!
How can you beat that???

Some of the people he's painting for have already dealt w/ him, so "we" know...
If you want an obviously well painted lid for cheap. You better hurry, before he get's his own paint & charges good $$$!

Nice looking rig ya got there. the exo follws very cleanly, and the Double J body looks badass.

yes looks great... the silver left something to be desired.... that double J body finishes it. looks awesome.

i too say skip the wideners... would have more realism with a narrow track... nonetheless, i nearly took a shot at that exo when it was up for sale, but i had just dumped my wallet on Unimoger's C10.... you've made it look much cooler than i ever could have!

Yeah, the narrowed Pede wheels have a lot less offset than the HPI's I normally run. The nice thing about these wideners (Tobee 32mm's) is that they allow me to run Moabs on 24-series wheels and clear the shocks, and the truck looks a bit more normal; the super-wide stance is just for bashing.

I'll pop up some pics after I get a protective cage on the body and beat it up a bit

Much better

Told ya the wideners were there for a reason

Also redid the rear supension (shocks facing rearwards to soften it up a bit, and it's made a huge difference in how it rolls over stuff and puts much more wheel pressure on.

Now, waiting on a can-back from Colquitt Customs once he starts working on the Courier setups

Not narrowed at all, stock wheels

The 8-balls were a slightly oversized sedan wheel, that you could get spinners for (Proline made some Escalade sedan bodies and stuff)

So they're very high-offset, and a little over an inch wide. They've git slightly shorter beads than most truck rims, but becuase you stretch the Moabs just a touch to fit them anyways, it's not really an issue. You technically don't even need to glue them, though it still makes it more secure. I love the side bite you get with the setup, though, and it's definitely more challenging with a narrow width and less rubber down on the rocks.
