| scale toyota rig...
ive seen a few 1/24 rigs popping up and ive decided to give it a try... heres what i have so far.. it looks kinda like the j-10 build up i guess...i really like the flatbed look.. ill have a different drivetrain though but i hope to have leafspring suspension.. |

i have a muscle machines monster truck on the way...so iam going to use those axles... i couldnt find a super slick anywhere haha has anyone done anything with the muscle machines mt's?

Man, if only they made those bodies as a 2nd gen toyota, then I'd hunt down another ssmt so I could build a mini version of my 1:1 rig.

iam not too familiar with toyotas its just the next best thing to a comanche if they made comanche models thats what i would be builing but toyotas are cool too..

You have my interest pirked! I can't find SSMT axles myself and the Muscle machines should be easy to get. Can't wait to see what you do.

well while waiting for the axles ive been messin with the roll cage/bed ideas...so far i put rock sliders on and this little bed... i was thinking of a rear cage along these lines...the lime green is what i may build....opinions? Last edited by swamped2a; 05-14-2006 at 01:00 AM. |

yea its one of those aoshima models that comes with the swampers i got it for the tires then decided to use it for my build i think its comin along nicely heres some more progress pics...the rear cage is done..now it needs paint.. |

well i got some axles off a muscle machines mt...they arent what i thought they were...they are just too wide and not at all scale looking with the steering knuckles on Last edited by swamped2a; 05-16-2006 at 12:58 PM. |

well the tires are aoshima swampers and they are just too small for those axles... its like running rockwells with 30in tires....no good...ill get a pic asap heres some recent progress on the rear cage... heres the axles infront of a measuring tape...they are about 4 1/2 in wide...my yota is 2 3/4 wide....
