Default Rojo's "two feet on the skinny pedal" Buggy

Started on this little project today. Had some extra AR-60 axles laying around and decided to make me a scale go-fast solid axle buggy with them. Not sure on what will power it yet, thinking maybe a castle 4-pole brush-less setup or vxl system... I want it fast enough to do a little FOFF-ing if I ever want too...

Setup:
Gmade R1 chassis, custom delrin skid for axial trans
Maxx shafts
Front will be a double triangulated 4-link
Rear single triangulated with trailing arms
AR-60 axles, front steering only
Vanquish Rockstars with 225 hubs
RC4wd 2.2 Two-face Tires
RC4wd stock foams

Still Undecided:
Shocks
Servo
ESC/Motor

This is how it sites this evening... Wide and Low...
(All the links are temporary, the front will be shortened substantially, the rear may get lengthened a hair...)

This will be a slow build due to a 4 week old colicky baby, but as I get down time I will update

Wow, what a beast! Subscribed! Did you just shorten the 2face tires to make them taller? Because they look skinnier than usual.

Thanks!

Haven't modified the tires at all, the 2.2 versions are tall and skinny... mounting them on the .8" wide rockstars sucked them in a bit more too...

Got the wheelbase set and parts coming in! I finally decided on the Castle SCT 4 pole brushless system with the 3800 kv motor and 5mm shaft. Since this is about going fast, it should fit the bill pretty good. For the shocks I decided on Proline Powerstrokes (scx-10 size) with the long rod end installed. For the rear trailing arms I am going to use the RC4WD Hardcore links.

As other odds and ends come in, I will update...

Yep, they are just a set I use to set the wheelbase/stance with until the RC4wd ones come in the mail. The goal is to keep the links flat in the rear and actually a hair lower than parallel in the front to aid in the axle movement going rearward and up when hitting bumps at speed. In the pictures it is actually sitting a little high in the front.
