| comp buggy
its been a while since i have ran a C3 toy in your local comps. watching on the side lines is fun but you can only do that for so long before you wont back in. so i am going to try my hand at making a scale version of a buggy i watched being built on pirate. i have been at it for a while so heres a run down of where i am with it. the buggy i will be going for the grill, hood and cowl needed to be made first so i could find where to start the a-pillers. with finding where to place the a-pillers i was able to get the major part of the chassis done. the ass was to long so i took out a inch. added fenders to keep the hood from crushing the grill when it takes a hard fall to it. a couple more braces up front and i will start brazing it up. also waiting on the wheels to show so i can flex it out to see where the skins need to be trimmed. Last edited by joeyf; 11-21-2011 at 03:32 PM. |

Rig's looking great bro. Did a great job on the hood and grill. What material is it? TURBOFEST's Ginsu tires are nice too aren't they. This shot is just beef cake |

Hey Bart, very glad i went to TURBOFEST for the tires. he did a awesome job with them. took the hood and cowl from a 1:6 dragon willys and cut them up to fit. the grill is made from a scrap piece of styrene sheet. p.s. still wont to here how your new toy is working for you. thanks Last edited by joeyf; 11-22-2011 at 07:44 PM. | ||

| Re: comp buggy thanks banana got some stuff done. didnt feel like spending my time on making a custom interior so i got one from a wraith and cut it to fit. still need to make the dash. a few more small things to the chassis and then it will be time to wire it up. |

The Torchmate Willys has been one of my favorites for a long time. I always like Jesse Haines' rigs. It has a great build over on pirate if you haven't seen it. EDIT - Just saw you mentioned it in your first post.... I skimmed it the first time Jesse Haines Torchmate 2010 Pro Mod Build - Pirate4x4.Com Bulletin Board Last edited by Harley; 12-16-2011 at 08:27 PM. |
