Default Swezy207's '53 Ford TTC

Heres what I got so far.

Custom hand bent c channel chassis
Custom tube work
53 ford Parma body
Scx skid
Built trans
Overdrive front axle with alum. C's and intjunky wideners.
Rear axle alum. Lockouts.
35t tekin hd motor
Tekin fxr
Futaba 4pl
Proline tsl's
3racing winch

I have plans to make a fuel cell for the rear, tube fenders up front, finish tube work and possibly add some lighting.

Nice job do far. I like the rusty look. Good job on the body. Just need to tape off the windows and wetland the rusted areas to dull that shine.

Other than that. Got my stamp of approval.

Thanks! I wonder if wet sanding lexan will leave swirl marks or streaks in it tho...

Tube fenders are done, not that happy with them, but whatever. Also made a rear tow point to hook my "D" ring to and my winch will be on that.

On another note... I REALLY need to start taking plastic parts off BEFORE I braze. I seem to have melted my rear four link mount, and my axle housing. Meh, oh well. Gives it a real beater look... Lmao

Beef toobs are in, I need a longer driveshaft in the rear, and just have to wire everything up now.

My winch controller has a plug for a battery it looks like, do I need a Seperate battery?

Looks like you BBQed the rear pretty good...maybe a few minutes of disassembly would help. I commend you for doing your own stuff. I'm not trying to bust our balls just thought it was a bit funny.

Thanks guys, I'm still learning, I'm trying to finish this truck for a trail run we are having Saturday, that's why I left the plastic on to try and save time. Hopefully it runs by tomorrow.

good job Swezy!
The rear tube work is a really cool layout, are you going to mount a spare tire back there?

I like the beat up look myself

Thanks! I had originally planned a spare tire, but I don't think I'm going to, I'm going to make a fuel cell to put in the empty spot in the back, and put some accessories on the electronics box (toolbox).

Your truck ran solid! Too bad you smoked the winch early. Awesome build. I haven't had luck with my own brazing or tube work.
