Default My "Swap Meet Louie" Hilux Mattzilla truggy build

Heres my truggy build on the cheap.

I really didn't like truggies at first..Just didn't like how they looked but it grew on me..

I dont have the skills to make a truggy chassis and could not afford to purchase a new one.

But the constant "stalking" of the classified section paid off..90% of the parts were purchased from RCC classified.

And so far, 100% of the parts are used..I hope I am able to keep it that way..

I was able to snatch up the following parts for my build:

Mattzilla truggy chassis
Mojave/TF2 cab/window
tamiya hilux grill
CAC beadlock wheels
axial ripsaw tires
rc4wd dual rate scale shocks
axial axles w/ aluminum chubs
axial cvd
rc4wd wheel spacers
36/14 f and 38/13 r HD pinions
CI wraith trans with RR gears
CI trans outputs
CI Traxxas driveshafts
revo links and ends
Mamba Max Pro esc
Tekin Redline 13.5 brushless
Hitech HS-7955TG steering servo
Scale accessories

Heres some pics:

How I received my Mattzilla Truggy chassis

mocked up with the axles:

I was going to originally run it as a 1.9

Till I saw this...

And this was my reaction:

So the re-make began...

First off was to get the wheel base squared off:

Added the RC4WD 110mm shocks and wheel spacers..

Mounted my Wratih trans with RR gears and CI outputs..

Mounted the wheel setup

Thanks for the compliment..

I had originally purchased a set of ar60 axles just for this project.

I did not use them due to the clearance issues I would run with the upper links and driveshafts..I dont have the skill to make some links that would take the punishment and the wraith links would fall short of my wheelbase target.

STANG KILLA SS, That truck is the very reason why I built mines.

Seen it and I knew I wanted to build one similar. I like it how it is..

I just like how the wheel base and stance was..

Lue does some nice work.

Thanks bro,

Glad it's in good hands. Seem like Ralph got some pretty good mileage on it...
